My journey into aesthetics didn’t start in a glossy clinic, under perfect lighting. It started in the aisles of Superdrug, as a young Black girl with white adoptive parents, flipping through beauty magazines that didn’t feature faces like mine.
I spent years trying to “fix” my skin with products that were never made for me. That experience and the quiet message that I wasn’t being seen shaped my skincare journey, and my purpose.
I went into medicine because I wanted to help people feel seen.
I started in paediatrics, learning how to hold space for vulnerability, for tenderness.
Then I moved into cosmetic surgery and aesthetics. It's a world that often gets painted as superficial but is anything but when done right.
Because when someone sits in my chair and asks me to help them feel more like themselves? That’s trust. Deep, human trust.
A Journey of Care
and Connection
That same compassion led me down a different road too:
fertility care. I’ve seen firsthand how clinical, cold, and transactional that space can feel for those navigating IVF. So I built a fertility pharmacy rooted in “heart”, not just pharmaceuticals.
Our “Nurse at Home” program means patients don’t have to face those hormone injections and treatment plans alone. They get a hand to hold when it’s needed most.
Over the past 20+ years, I’ve worked across almost every corner of the beauty and medical aesthetics industry. And in 2014, I began building the ecosystem I wish had existed for me all those years ago.
It started with Renew, my medical aesthetics clinic in Cheshire, where I work with clients to understand their skin, not fight against it.
To feel good in it, as it is.
Then came Medica Forte. And from there, my very own formulations for people and clinicians - PRFKT and PRFKT Pro.
